How can I get the Senior Photographs I want?
First, call J. Barry Morrison to schedule your appointment. Next, look through your favorite magazines. If you see ideas you like, Barry will try to give you the portrait styles YOU WANT - and if he knows what you like, he'll work hard to help you get it! If you don't really have any preferences, that's OK too! Some of Barry's most creative work happens when his clients say, "I don't care what you do, just make me look great!" You will be photographed indoors and outdoors.
What do I wear?
When choosing your outfits, keep in mind that the most important thing is that you like them. You'll want to bring as much variety as possible. Most seniors choose some casual and some dressy outfits.
Ladies - Bring the colors and outfits you feel best in. Dresses (even formals), sweaters and lace for the more traditional look - bright colors, patterns, skirts, jeans and shorts are very popular for newer style portraits. If you like one outfit, it's probably because you look good in it, so make sure you bring it! Your nails should be well manicured.
Men - Remember to bring a dress shirt and tie for your Cap and Gown pose! For the more traditional portraits, suit or sportscoat with or without a tie is good. Sweaters photograph well, even in summer! For casual and outdoor portraits - jeans, shirts, sweaters, shorts, sweatshirts, western, or whatever you like!
What can I bring?
Remember, these are Your portraits, so make sure they reflect YOU and your personality! Make sure you bring a hat, instrument, sunglasses, pet, "wheels", hobby, boy or girlfriend, letter jacket, uniform, sports prop, or ANYTHING else you feel would show off the REAL YOU. No idea is too crazy and since we'll try just a few with it, you have nothing to lose. So GO FOR IT!!
